One of the many services that Blue Fire Media offers is graphic design in Kalamazoo. Whether it’s coming up with the look and layout of your website, designing or updating your logo, or creating promotional or marketing materials that include trade show banners, flyers, brochures, and advertisements, our graphic designers can do it all. With a range of backgrounds and experience, as well as other skills like photography and videography, Blue Fire Media is your one-stop-shop for all things graphical. In this post, we will do a short introduction to our newest team members Jeffrey and Liz.
Meet Jeffrey
Jeffrey grew up in Livonia, MI – always wanting to be an artist. So, after high school he moved to Grand Rapids in order to attend Kendall College of Art and Design. While at Kendall, one of Jeffrey’s projects was selected to the Society of Illustration – an incredibly high honor. He graduated from Kendall with a BFA in Illustration – minoring in Photography and Digital Media.
Throughout his professional career, Jeffrey has worked for a number of amazing companies that include Kellogg’s, Walgreens, and the Detroit Red Wings. He chose Blue Fire because of the encouraging atmosphere and the amount of talent and experience his coworkers possess.
Jeffrey is married to his amazing wife. They have two boys who are learning the ways of the Jedi. If you couldn’t tell he is a big comic and sci-fi nerd. Jeffrey’s hobbies include playing guitar, video games, camping, drawing comics, and watching movies.
Meet Liz
Liz is the youngest of the Blue Fire Crew, but what she lacks in age, she makes up for in talent and personality. At 22, she is a graduate of Vicksburg High School and a recent graduate of Kalamazoo Valley Community College where she played basketball while earning her degree in Graphic Design. Liz is also a committee member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) West Michigan Chapter. Besides basketball, Liz enjoys going to concerts, running at night time to her favorite Demi Lovato playlist, and the occasional round of disc golf. Her passions include all things design and photography.
Although Liz isn’t married, she is a full-time mother to her first 4-legged Siberian Husky child. They enjoy going on walks, taking cute photos together, and talking back to one another.
Liz chose Blue Fire Media because she felt it was a genuine fit for her and was ready to apply the knowledge and skills she had learned in a fast-paced industry right out of college. She enjoys her time here and hopes to be with Blue Fire for a long time (as long as she doesn’t get too tired of Josh’s dad jokes).
